Q:
I'm only getting a few of
the emails. For example it
keeps stopping on email 7
out of 14 and never gets
past that.
What gives?
A: Sometimes things happen like
power surges, or people send you an
email that has some kind of corrupted
attachment, etc. When your email
program does a send/receive it only gets
to that corrupt email and hangs
up, never allowing all of the emails to
come in. Because you never get to the
last email in your inbox the same emails
seem to keep coming in over and over and
over.
There are two ways to fix
this issue.
Go to:
http://www.mail2web.com/cgi-bin/login.asp?lid=0&il=0 and put in your server name, username
and password...and check mail. Your
username should be in the form of
myaddress@mydomainname.com and the
server address should be
mail.yourdomainname.com.
Once your emails all come
in, delete the few that seem to be
junk mail and possibly the 6th, 7th (or
whichever email the program was getting
stuck on) and then close out of Mail2Web
and go back into Outlook and try
sending/receiving emails again, to see
if your problem is fixed. (Bear in mind
that all of those duplicate emails will
need to be deleted.)
If that didn't fix your problem,
call 828.963.7286 and we'll see if
we can spot any corrupted email in your
account.
